Random #gripe: I find it annoying that I can’t make tea in my stainless steel mugs without the risk that cold water I drink afterwards tastes like iron/blood. 😠 (I’ve accidentally ruined 2 mugs this way)

@jellycrystals I’ll have to go back to the mugs I banished to the cabinet to see if they still have that metallic taste. Another thing I could do is use the plastic lid that comes with the mugs (if I can find them) to minimize direct contact with the metal. 🤷♀️
@jellycrystals Yeah. This is the article I saw that mentioned acidic drinks possibly eating away the coating on the stainless steel mugs, or perhaps it’s a reaction between one’s lips and the bare metal. But it’s the only real article I found that says this, so take it with a grain of salt:
