Is there a standard or proposed web API that allows websites to initiate the browser’s Translate feature?
1. English website includes “View in French” button
2. user clicks button
3. the browser’s “Translate to French” dialog pops up

The AI hype strikes again: why do they even mention AI?
As if there were any developers who cares if they use word swapping, traditional translation, generative AI, trained monkeys or whatever. If it translates, I only care about quality, and how I can customize it.
