It's still so weird to me that the idea of universal healthcare is so political here. It's a given in so many other places, and I miss it. And people don't realize how good it is for innovation. You can take so many more risks when your health and well-being aren't tied to a salaried employer.

To be honest, here in Europe there are plenty of politicians trying to privatize healthcare, against the opinion of nearly everyone.

No doubt most of them are in private healthcare provider's pockets. Even here, that scum is powerful.

The people raking in money hand over truckload in the US by extorting our lifesblood, will NOT stop until they have the rest of the world by the throat too.

They are coming for Europe's social safety nets, infrastructure, and stability. Until every corner of the globe is one more gang-torn hellhole just like every other "third world" playground for fascists and capital, they will not rest.

Fight like hell for what you've got, what you see in the US is just a taste of where everything is headed.
