#UX is like a jester.
The real role of the jester is to point out when the king is doing something stupid.
But tech execs thought that the jester's role was just to bring the bells and whistles. They created an environment of "polite failure," ignored the warnings, bolted #AI onto everything for no reason, and are now shocked by the backlash.

A boss not allowing dissent or criticism is a clear sign of incompetence. Nobody can see all the aspects of a project. So many things will go wrong if people can't speak freely.
There are too many of these. And there are no jesters anymore.
