A federal judge strikes down the Interior Department’s order to halt work on a multibillion-dollar wind farm off the coast of New York State, the fifth time the courts have ruled against the Trump administration’s efforts to throttle the offshore wind industry. nytimes.com/2026/02/02/climate

@newsguyusa Does he ever give a rationale for the blocks? And no, 'it costs a lot of money' is not valid.

What insanity a political system where impact assessment of proposals is not mandated.

So politicians can cut what is already bleeding and which will cost more to patch up than savings made.

Oh, he explained many times in a very long talk he gave in Davos: he hates wind farms because he says the only ones that profit from them are the Chinese by manufacturing them, but they don't use them because they are very intelligent and using them is not profitable, so the only ones that use wind are stupid people like the Europeans.

There is not a single bit of truth in his explanation, but he vomited that shit so many times (I stopped counting at six) I stopped watching the video because it got really, really boring.

He has a fixation with wind; there was no mention of solar, for example.

@jgg @newsguyusa He is dangerously shallow and fixated minded. Deeply egocentric and pathologically greedy. And showing senile signs.

On so many counts, not least multiple convictions, unfit to run a coffee shop let alone the most dangerous national bully in the world.
