#TIL While Bill Gates may or may not have said "640K ought to be enough for anybody." in the 1980s, Linus Torvalds did in fact say that 32-bit Linux would never, ever support more than 2 GB of memory in 1999. "This is not negotiable."

I do kind of wonder how Linux made it so far sometimes. And then I remember that IBM dumped millions into development time on it.
