I'm reflecting on how much I generally prefer the writing & performances I'm finding in independantly-distributed audioshows over Hollywood's!

(Though criticisizing Hollywood's writing summons anti-wokes who would be disappointed in my choice of alternatives)

Why is this? Maybe I'm relating to the authors through their stories? Is it that there's less visual noise for the story to hide behind?

Even when the stories are tropey, I'm finding stories that know how to yield tropes!

I thought it was exactly the other way around. That anti-woke people hated Hollywood with a passion for destroying established franchises and characters, being paedophiles or both.

I don't have a dog in this race, so I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong.
