@jonnypencils @notawizard To be honest, I couldn't really afford the retro computing stuff to the extent I do it now. Most of the more expensive stuff came from donations to the channel. I feel super privileged (and grateful). :D

And I have to say, the state of emulators now is *amazing*.
Honestly, I've been building my hardware collection back up, but still find myself using emulators, especially for my videos.
Getting into retro gaming and coding, and even producing commercial games these days, can be done completely free.
Even all the old computer manuals and books are free.
It's a pretty great time to be a crusty old fart who's broke. 😂
