I used to actually think that hot glueing was a cop out to not making a proper job. Now to paraphrase @duhproject

@GedgeHead @janbeta @duhproject Yes, that is true! Also, I found out that hot glue works much better (for me) as a replacement for sealant for water protection, it is more durable in the sun and easier to remove later.
