#Bookstodon Help! 10yo and I just finished reading all of William Alexander's books.¹ Now we need something new to read. Seeking work like Alexander's: rich three-dimensional characters and worlds with deep parallels to the world in which we live. Magic is a plus.

@Colarusso at ten and eleven, my favourite books were Garth Nix's Abhorsen trilogy. I can't think of a reason not to recommend them.
