A bit late with this info, but I just learned that Cogent (major internet backbone) cut service to Russia. This would explain a lot of the routing issues being faced by users I have interacted with.

I am growing very tired with how fragile the internet actually is. This isn't the resilient infrastructure I was taught in school, even when it's functioning correctly it barely is working.

There are fundamental design flaws and I don't think they will ever get fixed.

Wireless shortwave and/or HAM might be the only solution. However your internet as you know it won't be the same as to what you are used to, there is only so many spectrums and throughput, I don't think there is a future.

@lorendias It's lower level than the transport protocol it might be the whole TCP/IP stack.
