Shipping another watchOS standalone app (so without iOS companion app) has been a good reminder of some feedback points I hope Apple will fix soon. Here’s my number one support (and 1-star review reason):

"I've purchased the app but it doesn’t show up on my Apple Watch and now I can't find it in the Watch app or re-install it because the App Store just says “Purchased" in a grey button”

I have to solve this by guiding them to download and install the app again via the App Store on the Apple Watch. This is easy, but so SO many people don’t know or do this as a first response.

I love this platform but this flow is broken since they support standalone apps on watchOS

FB12053257 or FB9768142 if anyone from Apple reads this :)

@hidde Thanks for filing! I do all my installing from the Watch these days, so I forgot this was even a thing. Will share with my App Store colleagues.

@lorihc Thanks for raising this Lori! I’m happy the solution is easy so I can always direct them to the FAQ but really hope it gets fixed.

Happened before with Brush as well
