Bought some rechargeable spoke lights because I hate throwing away batteries, but realized (a) they’re a pain to take off once on, and (b) there’s no power where I store my bike at home. Testing out how I might charge the lights at the same time as the bike with this prototype setup in my office. (Real charging will be in the bike room.)

@lorihc there’s always ‘use a usb battery to charge the lamps’, where you could just stash the battery when it need charging. But if the lights require charging regularly, this is an unhelpful suggestion

@grork No, it’s helpful, and was my first thought—stash some battery packs in with the bike at home. But then I needed extra battery packs, which also need to be charged (but at least they’re portable!). Going to try this as the most direct solution. :-)

@lorihc @grork Get a reaaaally long USB cable and plug into work computer 🙂
