There's a lip near the usb-c port to take the backplate off. Here's a glimpse of the manual. #rtfm

Found passcode searching online. Ideally should have been included in packaging.

Password was the same as pin- weird, because it didn't work the first time around. Got locked out of phone again and had to restart.
@Hyolobrika
Other than getting locked out, the battery drain and slight overheat- so far so good. Hopefully those issues will get resolved soon. I still have to experiment more with it though.
@lucifargundam What OS is your plasma mobile running on? I'm looking at getting a Librem 5.
@lucifargundam wow looks nice. Can’t wait to unbox my pinephone(hopefully this week). Is it running Manjaro out of the box ? Saw somewhere about the Manjaro daily builds.
@sridhar
I would double-check for you if I could- but for some reason the pin isn't working and it won't let me do a factory reset. I'll have to reinstall the image via sd card. Even though it came with a usb hub, it doesn't seem to be working at the moment.
Iirc, it should have manjaro installed. Will update as I proceed.
@lucifargundam After using quite a few distros most pins are 123456 or 1234 (in case you try any new ones).
Make sure to upgrade and reboot.
Funny enough I just did a Plasma video before reading your toot. Really cool to see KDE Connect working!!!! I suggest keeping a couple backup operating systems on sdcard. This way if your system breaks you won't miss any calls/texts 😉
Welcome fellow Piner! 😁

Went into terminal, locked screen and couldn't get back in with passcode. Had to restart phone for it to take passcode. The battery has gone down pretty quickly and is a bit warm, but not a big concern yet. Still need to update the software. Don't know default password to terminal.
Username is kde though.
