@WendyDLN
with all these food shows/recipes- its hard to stick to a diet while working out. do you have any advice for such sudden cravings? I used to snack, but that quickly got costly calorie-wise.

@lucifargundam I started overhauling my diet in May of 2019 (I was also pre diabetic). I chose to go the keto route. The withdrawal from carbs wasn't fun, but I've felt better ever since.

Tips to prevent snacking:
1) drink plenty of water
2) if your hungry eat an actual meal
3) keep your blood sugar steady

The last one is key, and the hardest to do. If you choose foods that burn/store quickly the resulting blood sugar crash will leave you hungry. Does that make sense?

@WendyDLN
For the blood sugar- do you get a diabetic testing kit or something?

@lucifargundam I have one and did use it a lot at first. Now I use it occasionally if I'm curious. I also used a macro tracker at first to make sure I was keeping my carbs low. I'm still 0 sugar. We now use a natural sugar substitute for special occasions. You will have insulin rise every time you eat. However, have that daily chart look like waves not mountains, it is what worked best for me. I also didn't go on a diet. I decided on life long food changes.
