As someone who was irc inb4 aim messenger, I'm used to shouting into the void. I tend to believe people who leave fedi are either dead or going to FB or birdsite.

So far my experience with the relays I have on my instance is that people speak their minds, they don't insult your integrity or belittle you or any shit that isn't constructive. Best thing I've seen so far is that someone didn't agree with someone else and told them that and told them to fuck off. I like that kind of honesty.
