Library/academic mastodon: is there a term of art for a book ABOUT a book?

like a book responding directly to another book (e.g. Appalachian reckoning : a region responds to Hillbilly Elegy) or just about the other book (e.g. a book for high schoolers about Catcher in the Rye)
