Sure, tricks like these are cheap and you care less about such things as you grow older, but I have to admit that when companies choose not to do things like this at all and only try to pay you more the work atmosphere gets eerie, you don't treat your colleagues in a friendly manner and it gets kind of unenjoyable to work there.
I think proper balance is gold!

@m0xee @lucifargundam if a company pays overtime and gets you a pizza there's nothing wrong with that, it's when pizza becomes substitute for a salary when there's a problem. :)
@lucifargundam personally, I've always resented cheap tricks like pizza. Instead of paying me the hourly wage for work I get a couple of slices of bread with a couple of bucks. It's kind of insulting.
