credit/debit gives data to the banks. it is not a good option

Start your own bank???
I'd rather have $1k in the bank than $0.01 in my wallet.
But yes, I'll agree with $1k in cash would be ideal.
Ideals don't pay my bills though :/
Even if I started my own bank, Mastercard or Visa would get all the data.
What I usually do is keep a 'cache' of cash to draw from. That way, I'm not tracked by revealing when and how much I take out when at the shops.
