Got a 2003 Honda Element (OG without sunroof and with stick shift) and I have restored it to make it into a small camper during the weekends.
Son far it has:
- New paint
- Roof rack
- New tail and side lights
- Cleaned the head lights (will buy new ones soonish)
- Original front seat covers
- Bug deflector
- Side steps
- Tinted windows
- Heat shield window covers for all windows
- Luno custom air matress
Hope to go solo camping for 2 nights soon to test the build out. Waiting on side window bug screens that have been ordered.
This is not a van life thing, it is just for weekends here and there. Hoping to catch a starry night away from the city. 🌠
Hope to one day install a hitch and a super small teardrop trailer. Also get a roof box. Thought about a rooftop tent but they seem way to expensive for what they are.
Next post on the topic will be about what I have gathered so far for camping gear.
Share your build in the replies. 🙏

@lucifargundam it's not a real license plate. In Florida only a back plate is required I ordered the front one in Amazon as an homage to a great movie. 👍
