Another fantastic garage find! It's BURPS! An extremely streamlined universal roleplaying system from 1987 by Maverick Games. It uses a single six sided die and is mostly focused on tests. BURPS comes with a cardstock cover/gm screen, a sample character sheet, counters and even an introductory adventure. Pretty cool! I can't find any information on BURPS or Maverick Games. There are several projects with that name but none of them are related to this game. I feel like I ought to scan this and put it on archive.org but I also can't find any concrete info on the author Jerry Epperson to check if that's alright. Any thoughts? #ttrpgs #roleplaying #games

I bet it's a play on GURPS, since they were contemporaneous. Also they use BURPS on the SJG forums to describe a cut down version of GURPS which makes it extra hard to find information about this game.
