Are you unhappy about journal processing times at the usual suspects? Then consider sending your manuscript to Digital Society: springer.com/journal/44206

@andrewiliadis seems like a new journal? I hope you don't mind the few questions below

@andrewiliadis often when one talks of faster review times, this is an indication of predatory journals. Would you care to explain how your promise still guarantees attention to quality?

@andrewiliadis how far are you into the process of getting listed on scimagojr.com/ ? What subject areas in their classification are you aiming for?

@mapto Hi Martin. We are selective about which papers are sent out for review and try to process desk rejections quickly. Papers sent out are double-blind peer-reviewed. We do not solicit manuscripts from authors (my post was to notify my network of the journal). In my experience, there is a review backlog in some journals in my field (due to limited administrative handling, reviewer pool, editor burnout, etc.). Since we are a new journal, we are still discussing journal indexing and metrics.
