I understand the value of continued, nuanced scientific inquiry, but I am always amused by the endless parade of studies that are presented as: who knew other species were intelligent and had emotions?

@bojacobs at the same time it is insightful to see exactly what is out there. I have particular respect for science that validates the obvious. On one hand it's a low-hanging fruit, on another it's way too banal for many people to actually engage with it. And yet, there's lots to be understood even there.
