Q: "What do you think is the biggest threat in cybersecurity right now? Is it post-quantum computing? Is it AI?"
A: Fascism. It's fascism.
@Homoevolutis0 @evacide but is it fascism or just plain egoism and greed that takes advantage of fascist sentiments? Or maybe the difference doesn't matter?
@mapto @Homoevolutis0 @evacide It's the same thing. We tend to think of fascism as purely the ideology behind it, but fascism can only be sustained by some form of elites profiting off of it. Hitlers top-tier people were filthy rich and had their desires of seemingly infinite power fulfilled. In the US it's Trump and the oligarchs around him, just like in Russia right now. He is doing similar things that Putin did back in the day.

Yeah it's not so much an ideology as a modus operandi for nation-scale robbery.

Anyway, there certainly is a clearly neo-nazi crowd around Trump, but he personally would sell them too if anyone bids a higher price. The fact is that Musk, Thiel and the TESCREAL are the highest bidders by a huge margin. So Trump is the opportunistic nazi we all see.
