Thank-you so much for doing this hard work to keep us current with newer KDE/Plasma!!
I installed your August upgrade on Debian Stable yesterday and initialized it using Wayland. I still had Gnome on this installation too.
I found it extremely slow (I have 64 Gb of ram on this Ryzen7 desktop, so it's not underpowered.) ;-)
Would the slowness be caused by having Gnome on the same desktop too, do you think? Is it recommended removing previous desktop environments when installing KDE/Plasma?

@marathon0 No need to uninstall all other stuff, although there might be some background tasks, in particular indexer, that might eat up resources. With your RAM it should all be blastingly fast!!

@norbu
Yeah that's why I was puzzled. I had flatpak installed to.
Should I remove the Gnome DE enviornment completely, you think, and then install from your repo? It's not a problem to do so if that's the best way forward. I do like Wayland, so as long as KDE isn't a second class citizen on Wayland, I think I prefer the more traditional desktop. I last used KDE around the 1.x days on Caldera. LOL

@norbu
O damn I missed the part about the indexer. Maybe I should remove that, is what you're saying - Correct?

@marathon0 I usually disable all the indexers. With hundreds of Gb it just trashed my computer.

@norbu
OK will do. Thanks very much for your work!
