Yesterday's bombardment of Ukraine was a show of force designed to cover up mounting desperation.

In this week's newsletter, I dive deep into what Russia's missile strikes tell us about its dwindling supplies — and why it's risking conflict with Poland. bugeyedandshameless.com/p/bomb

One thing that genuinely blew my mind in reporting this out is just how low Russia's stockpiles of missiles are.

As of last month, Russia had about 40% of its high-precision missiles remaining: 600 missiles or so.

Since then, they've used somewhere in the ballpark of 200 (perhaps a mix of high and lower precision systems.)

In short: Russia is running out of weapons to fire.

@marathon0 I break it down in my Substack post, but it's largely based on some very good analysis from a couple of particularly good think tanks, and intel from the UK/US/Ukrainian militaries. Everyone seems to have come to more-or-less the same conclusion: Russia's cupboards are running bare.

@justinling which thinktanks? You know most are funded by NATO and/or the US government, so they'll hardly be unbiased. BTW I've been following since it began and you're not on solid ground. Be careful or your reputation will be ruined. Because, it's the West/NATO that is running out of weapons and ammo. Russia has the industrial capacity to fire more rounds in a day than the USA did in the entire Iraqi war. Western "experts" have been saying since April, that Russia was gong to run out of everything "soon". LMAO!

@marathon0 Let's chat again in a few months and we'll see about that.

I was going to sub to your substack, but not when you write this kind of drivel, and you call yourself an investigative reporter?! Geesus, not a very good one at that I must say if you're regurgitating the Atlantic Councils talking points. You should be ashamed, because this is just trash and lazy reportage.

@justinling @marathon0@qoto.org How rude.
