I spent a few days with the in-laws for Christmas and in my down time did a deep, dark dive into #QElon’s ideology and motivations.
The shortest version I’ve come up with so far is that he’s in a billionaire eugenicist, transhumanist, white supremacist, anarcho-communist, Russian Cosmist science-fiction cult.
Unfortunately I’m dead serious about this.
This also offers a partial explanation for why he is literal Kremlin propagandist. He and Putin are deeply aligned.

In 2018, Elon Musk dropped by a SXSW panel and dropped a reference to Konstantin Tsiolkovsky, a Russian scientist who helped pioneer the Russian cosmonautics program. Tsiolkovsky was also a founding member of Russian Cosmism, who believed that humanity’s primary goal should be immortality and “interplanetarism.”
Tsiolkovsky also believed the only way to achieve this goal was widespread eugenics programs.
#QElon constantly says how much he’s inspired by Tsiolkovsky and his colleague Sergei Korolev. This has been looked on very favorably by Russian state media and Vladimir Putin.

Tsiolkovsky was deeply Russian Orthodox, to the point of being ascetic, and he was a Soviet who supported the Bolshevik Revolution.
The Bolsheviks were co-founded by Alexander Bogdanov, who became a rival of Lenin in the party. Bogdanov is thought by many to be the inspiration for the technocracy movement. And the Soviet Union itself has been referred to as a technocracy.

Bogdanov was also a science fiction writer who wrote a book about how a socialist technocratic government would take over Mars in case that sounds familiar.
And, he was an early promoter of blood transfusions as a fountain of youth. Until he died from one in 1928.
Another person very interested in this subject is Peter Fucking Thiel. #PFT

The “Technocracy movement” was started by Howard Scott in 1936. It had hundreds of thousands of members in the United States and Canada.
One of the leaders of the movement in Canada was Joshua Haldeman, who was arrested on charges for it in 1940. Joshua Haldeman is Elon Musk’s grandfather.
In 2019, Elon Musk tweeted “accelerating Starship development to build the Martian Technocracy.”

It should be noted that the central feature of technocracy, as defined by “Technocracy Incorporated” is the elimination of the “price system,” ie. money.
Of course, Elon Musk has been trying to disrupt the financial system for his entire career, including PayPal and his many adventures in pushing cryptocurrency scams.

#QElon’s grandpa Joshua Haldeman, former leader of the Technocracy movement, got fed up with Canada’s “moral failures” by 1950, and moved his family to South Africa, two years after the racist, oppressive regime of Apartheid (literally, “apart-hood”) started.
The government of South Africa had been advertising it as a “whites-only paradise.” Joshua Haldeman’s daughter Maye, gave birth to Elon in Pretoria in 1971.

Around the same time that Musk declared his admiration for Tsiolkovsky in 2018, Musk tweeted this: “If you must know, I am a utopian anarchist of the kind best described by Iain Banks.”
While this may seem wildly out of left field, it actually makes a sick kind of sense.
Iain M. Banks was an avowed socialist, who despised people like Elon Musk, and wrote a series of books about an anarcho-communist space-faring society called “The Culture.”
Iain M. Banks’s society, The Culture, who Elon Musk identifies with, like a technocracy, has no concept of money. It also has no laws, relying a mostly harmonious relationship between humans, AIs and “drones” to keep order.
It is also a major literary example of transhumanism, because anyone in The Culture can modify themselves to be almost anything they want, including glands that produce mind-altering drugs and butterfly wings.
Transhumanism is a major feature of Russian Cosmism, as it calls for a “perfection” of the human race in order to bring about the holy grail of immortality.
Of course the most aggressive transhumanist of all is none other than Elon Musk who wants to implant chips in human brains in the next six months. The term “neural lace” that he uses comes from Iain M. Banks.
The race for immortality, of course, has burned a lot of Silicon Valley capital, including that of Elon Musk’s “pay pal” Peter Thiel. The Russian Cosmists turned it into a quasi-religion. And so did Silicon Valley, who started “The Church of Perpetual Life” that counts the founder of Russian Cosmism, Nikolai Fyorodov, as a “prophet.”
That’s why Elon Musk is desperately trying to distance himself from the “Western” version of transhumanism by validating 9/11-truther Luke Rudkowski.
14/
The ugly truth of Elon Musk’s transhumanist goals is that he is not making technology for everyone. He does not care about humans on here on Earth, because he has adopted the idea that the only thing that matters is the long term, which is destined to be “multi-planetary.”
That’s why he actively promotes “longtermism” which was proposed by William MacAskill in his book “What We Owe The Future.”
15/
https://jimstewartson.substack.com/p/longtermism-the-stupid-idea-with
Longtermism is an incredibly naive idea that has been weaponized by people to do things like deny that climate science is trustworthy. It creates a rationale for all sorts of bad ideas.
For example, MacAskill believes we’ll be just fine if the earth heats up TEN degrees — which is obviously false and dangerous. He just thinks he knows better than scientists and lied about their approval.
16/
https://thebulletin.org/2022/11/what-longtermism-gets-wrong-about-climate-change/#post-heading
Turns out that MacAskill was also a mentor and ultimately business partners with Sam Bankman-Fried who said that he was getting super rich so that he could redistribute his money to projects that he believed would be good for everyone else.
In other words, he defrauded people of their money because he thought he could spend it better than them.
17/
https://www.theguardian.com/technology/commentisfree/2022/dec/04/longtermism-rich-effective-altruism-tech-dangerous
Longtermism also inevitably leads to eugenics, which is a dark theme of almost everything in this thread. If you believe the only thing that matters are the people in the future, isn’t it your duty to make them as “perfect” as possible? Doesn’t that mean you should cull the population of people who will sully the gene pool?
This is why Apartheid-born Elon Musk thinks his followers should have as many babies as possible, but is also terrified of any more brown people in the country.

Another person concerned about “birth rate” is Vladimir Putin who uses Russia’s declining population as a weapon in scapegoating minorities, Jews, and especially LGBTQ+ people in pursuit of his imperial goals — creating a unified “Eurasia” under a theocratic dictatorship with Moscow as the “Third Rome.”
Elon Musk got instructions from Putin on these talking points because Musk doesn’t care about Ukraine or democracy. He’s perfectly willing to have millions suffer and die, as long as it doesn’t interfere with his plans to make humanity a “multi-planetary species.”
Like all abusive narcissists, he wants us to think it’s for our own good, and the he alone can fix it.

Anarcho-communism is based on the guiding principle “from each according to their abilities, to each according to their needs” and rejects all forms of money and pricing.
This is the model for Iain Banks’s “The Culture” that Elon Musk says made him a “utopian anarchist.” This is a euphemism for anarcho-communism.
How is the former richest man in the world a “communist?” Because, like his grandfather, he hates the money system and is trying to destroy it from the inside out. “For our own good.”
Elon Musk’s ex-girlfriend Grimes made a confusing video about AI being a path to communism last year that no one I know of interpreted correctly. She’s talking about “The Culture” which is a society where nobody has to work.
She was telling everyone what Elon Musk wants:
“Basically everything everybody loves about Communism, but without the collective farm.”
https://gizmodo.com/grimes-says-ai-will-give-us-communism-in-confusing-new-1847022911
“Svyatogor” was a proponent of “Biocosmism,” an anarchist, secular version of Russian Cosmism.
Despite his anarchism, he supported the Soviets who “cannot act purely as organs of struggle against oppression by nature; they must fulfill their function […] by assuming the form of a dictatorship (in a transitional phase, dictatorship is both necessary and expedient).”
23/
https://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/alexander-svyatogor-the-doctrine-of-the-fathers-and-anarchism-biocosmism
This review of “Russian Cosmism” sums it up correctly:
“Scientists and writers like Tsiolkovsky, Bogdanov, and Svyatogor use the sheer power and materiality of fantasy and science fiction as a wedge to push humanity beyond the very brink of its capacities, risking — no, inviting — a collective change in humanity beyond all recognition.”
A science-fiction cult.

The toxic stew of influences that drive Elon Musk must be understood to translate his actions.
His racism is deeply implanted from his upbringing in Apartheid with “filthy rich,” white supremacist parents.
His belief that a select few should run the world comes from his grandfather’s technocratic ideals.
Neuralink and SpaceX come from his Russian Cosmist, Banks-ian, utopian belief that humanity is destined to be a “multiplanetary” transhumanist species.
Elon Musk made himself “Technoking of Tesla” because he believes in technocracy, which is why he doesn’t care about being CEO of Twitter. Instead, he “will just run the software and servers teams” which is another way of saying “Technoking of Twitter.”
Like Anarchist-Biocosmist Svyagotor a century ago, Elon Musk believes that a dictatorship is “necessary” on the way to a white, transhumanist Martian utopia.

I wrote in April that Elon Musk is a racist, misogynistic anarchist using Twitter to destroy democracy. I think it held up pretty well.
This is dangerous, messianic psychopath who has taken it upon himself to use his vast wealth to transform humanity — whether we like it or not — into a species devoted to colonizing Mars.
It’s also why he’s trying to brainwash and “cull” his followers. He’s creating a #QElon cult.

There is one more belief system I haven’t yet mentioned that has been grafted on to Elon Musk’s billionaire transhumanist science fiction cult — Nazism.
Musk is clearly a Nazi-sympathizer at the very least. Over the last year he has not just signaled but bull-horned his approval of Nazis. For example, after promoting antisemitic rapper Ye, Musk let the editor of the Daily Stormer, neo-Nazi eugenicist Andrew Anglin, back on Twitter.
28/
https://jimstewartson.substack.com/p/elmo-daily-stormer
Whether Elon Musk himself is a “Nazi” or not is open for interpretation, I guess, but he certainly quacks like a Nazi duck.
Regardless, the project of “cleansing” the population is also built into his Russian Cosmist beliefs. To Elon Musk, a genocidal Fourth Reich would not be a negative outcome. It would make for a more “perfect species” over the “long term.”
As a data point, the Nazis were very active in South Africa.
