Though I have to say nothing can compare to the greatness that is Richard Wagner's "Tristan und Isolde". A ride as intense as it is beautiful, so gripping it doesn't even feel like four hours has passed at the end. The 1952 recording with Kirsten Flagstad is the best. 🙂
