There's a petition on Moveon.org to keep Mifepristone legal.
I honestly have no idea what good these petitions do, but I do know that Moveon has had some impact over the last couple of decades, so I signed it. If you want to, here's the URL: https://sign.moveon.org/petitions/reverse-the-mifepristone-decision-protect-abortion-access
In jurisdictions that offer initiative ballot measures, petitions are the first step.
Way back when, when petitions were actual pieces of paper that you signed, I would sign almost every one that somebody showed me just to support the process, whether I agreed with it or not.
(ps - Mifepristone is still legal and will remain so.)
@Pat @natharari Thank you, I wasn’t thinking along those lines. Happy to be corrected and reminded.
@Pat @CardboardRobot It is and, so far, it looks like it will probably remain legal. But, even though I'm sitting all the way in France, there's no way I'm going to do absolutely nothing to try to help a little bit to keep it so - just in case. 😀
@natharari I wouldn’t want to put a damper on any positive action but I have never known a petition to do anything, so personally if I’m asked to sign a petition for something I donate 5 or 10 bucks to something related instead.
