I’m new to Mastodon, so am still learning how people interact on here (Ancora Imparo).
I’m a big fan of “Yes, and” thinking, so I have decided to go with this strategy for now:
- Favourite (⭐️) to me means yes, I like it, or its interesting to me.
- Boost to me means YES! And I think other people will be interested.
- I comment when I think YES! And I’d like to add my thoughts.
I’m curious to know how other people are using the different types of response…
@chandima Favorite can be used like that, but you can also review your favorites. So you could use it like that, like a private tip jar to the author to let them know you liked the toot, or you could use it like Internet Explorer used favorites, like bookmarks. We don't have to all use it the same way. However, do keep in mind that Favoriting is a much more private affair than it was on Twitter. Only you and the author see it.
