@RustyBertrand Thanks, Saint Bob!
@RustyBertrand Never actually seen them live. Had tickets once, and a broken foot. Gah.
My first was bendy-faced punk chanteuse Nina Hagen in Germany in (IIRC) ‘88.
@RustyBertrand Lotta catching up you had to do I’d hazard. 😎
@nullifidian Newcastle/Leeds goth, London, Stokholm, then New Orleans goth.
@nullifidian what was the name of the goth club at Angel of Islington? 1996.
@RustyBertrand Presume you mean the Slimelight?
@nullifidian
Oh yes! Members only, bring your own white lightning. Lol.
No one ever spoke to me, but I enjoyed lurking in corners.
@RustyBertrand That’s the one haha!
@nullifidian I lived in a squat nearby.
@RustyBertrand Only a Londoner by birth, never actually lived there, so only visited the Slimes occasionally.
@nullifidian next I saw KISS, I had just escaped the cult, I had never read books, seen movies, or heard pop music. I hated KISS, it seemed cartoonish. A bit.
Anyhow, then I saw Skunk Anansi. The Crow came out in 1994. Hm.
