Okay, so I've just learnt that it's apparently National Fish & Chips Day - and now I want some even though we've got dinner sorted for this evening already - but I've also seen online an awful lot of references to it being "National Fish & Chip Day". That's chip, singular. That feels so wrong. You don't have one chip. It's chips. I'm not accepting the singular form here.
