@floby If everyone followed this method, the Local timeline, and it's discovery purpose ceases to exist. I'm not arguing for against anything, people can do what they want. But it's not going to change. @seldo

@obi @floby I think the local timeline should in fact cease to exist.

@seldo We differ there for sure. That partially negates the reasons people join instances. If that's the case, Mastodon might as well be centralized. Which is unoriginal and boring. That's just my opinion. @floby

@seldo Also, a user can take their local timeline out of existence, so again, I don't see the problem. @floby
