Pointing out that these internet laws (and a few others, probably) are unconstitutional (and from I remember, are held up in court)...

A bill forcing teachers in public schools to call students by their "birth name", unless they have parental consent and the teacher can just ignore parental preferences to call them by their "birth name" anyway.

A bill allowing someone who was "operated on as a minor" to sue the doctor for up to 15 years after they turn 18.

A bill mandates that students at public and charter schools use the bathroom matching their gender assigned at birth.

The "Protect Arkansas" Act is a complete mess. Some highlights:

Possession of (actual) child porn is punished more harshly (no parole) than things related to contact offenses (i.e. employing or consenting to the use of a child in a sexual performance).

Claiming something is actual child porn when it's not ("pandering") too.

They appear to criminalize HIV? That is usually a bad thing o.O

A felon possessing a firearm is treated the same as a murderer (no parole) o.O

No parole for "fleeing".

"Promoting prostitution, if a Class B felony" (this usually means something like promoting a specific prostitution, rather than advocacy). Suspicious...

"Performing an abortion in violation of Arkansas’ abortion ban" Have to serve out 85% of the sentence before being eligible for parole.

"Trafficking a controlled substance" Have to serve out 85% of the sentence before being eligible for parole.

"Terrorism, making a terrorist threat, falsely communicating a terrorist threat or hindering the prosecution of terrorism"
If someone calls in a bomb threat, they have to serve out 85% of the sentence before being eligible for parole.

"Encouraging suicide" If someone is an internet troll, they will presumably have to serve out 85% of their sentence before being eligible for parole.
