This sounds like a great enhancement for #Mastodon and the #Fediverse:

It's another guy dropping down a "solution" from mid-air without any idea as to the problem space and a very shallow view of content moderation.
"harmful" is pretty vague.
Notice how there is no human rights calculation at all here. No principles of necessity or proportionality.
It is also likely to hit about as many friends as enemies. Perhaps, someone hosts taboo art, but isn't keen on harassment or hate.
It's also not realistic to just block every giant instance which might contain something offensive and that isn't a useful road to embark on.
I could go further about this. I don't want to take up too much space though.
This place is pretty complicated and it's annoying when someone comes up with "one simple fix".
