Mastodon appears to have lost around 40 thousand users (although, it's unclear whether this is from people leaving Mastodon, or just moving to a different fediverse implementation).
The drop is so sudden, that I'm gonna go with a migration of some sort.
Another possibility is that a server has gone down, I guess, and no one has gotten around to restarting it.
