I guess *technically* through Wordpress' payments feature, I could 'self host' Patreon of a sort, but I doubt it'll net even 1/10th of what I get on Patreon...
I think next in my quest to see how much of my ~Content~ I can #selfhost and/or #fediverse-ify is seeing if I can simulcast to Owncast on my sirtaptap.com URL, and fuck around with #matrix
Anyone use Matrix? For now, I can't see myself dropping discord entirely, so I'll need something with a functional bridge.
@SirTapTap Matrix is fairly cool, though it lacks some bells and whistles, and actually getting people to use it can be tricky.
They seem to be partially? based in the U.K., which has been overtaken by modern fascism (heck, not that long ago, U.K. MPs wanted to censor pictures of boats crossing the channel in order to be "tough on illegal migration"), and is Internet hostile, so probably self-hosting is best.
