totally agree. reply limiting shouldn't exist, replies should be ranked ala reddit and the norm should be no admin blocks unless the person is being abusive.
@wjmaggos @BeAware Hard disagree with this. Way too many people (especially black people) have been driven off the Fediverse by abusive reply guys. They harass just enough to fly under admin action. Or those abusive replies don't get seen because of private replies.
Other times you just want to say your piece without having to entertain everyone who demands a reply or making a followers only post. Besides, it's not like people on the Fediverse don't have other ways to call out disinformation.
@damagecontrolblog @wjmaggos @BeAware@social.beaware.live What if someone deliberately provokes others (even making themselves as visible as possible) then hides behind the thing? I've seen this happen quite a few times.
