I just find Twitter too difficult to use at this point with all the obstructions that the new management (and some of it, the old management) have put into place (even something as simple as creating an account is overly complicated).
And then, I'm told that the site is practically pay to win at this point, which is again another obstruction.
So, that is one reason why I don't bother with it.
For a social network, I just want something that is simple and which I can get going on on the spot.
I don't want to fool around with phone numbers (we can partially blame the previous management for this one). I don't want to fool around with credit cards... For something as simple as just getting an account going. I see that and I just can't be bothered with it.
Maybe, for the sake of getting a message out, it might be meaningful, but I just can't be bothered with it.
There are people who spend a lot of time on social media. I don't really want to spend a lot of time on social media. I like the idea of taking a break from social media even.
However, practically turning it into a job by paying for this or spending all this energy getting something setup (and it's not that private) kind of pushes things in that direction.
