@peterdrake I received a nice Go set as a work anniversary gift and I've yet to play it bc I don't think I fully understand the rules and am intimidated to try to teach my wife.

I've watched videos and read things, but it's just not clicking for me. Am I just dense?

There are many ways to learn online. The American Go Association has an interactive "learn to play" page:

If the two of you are learning together, just understand the rules and have at it. There's a lifetime of discovery and boundless materials, apps, clubs, and tournaments.

After you have the rules down, here's a good book that reveals some of the depth:
