If you're looking for something to read for Black History Month, Michael Harriot's "Black AF History: The Un-Whitewashed Story of America" is a good choice. In turns entertaining, edifying, appalling, and inspiring, it powerfully casts African-Americans as the active protagonists, not merely the victims, of our national story.

@peterdrake @ErickaSimone I also recommend his podcast; “Drapetomaniax” from last year - it is by turns hilarious and outraging, as any good history podcast should be.
