@stux I was going to say that we have daily MASS shootings, but SCHOOL shootings are rarer. Sadly, it looks like school shootings are between weekly and daily, depending on how you count.

Regular school shooting is apparently unique to USA.
In my country, in 1 century we've encountered this 1 time. (4 dead & many injured)
If we count unique murdering, the total goes to 6 times.
And we are one of the most impacted country in the EU. Many other country are far less
PS: I know that is to be informative you said that, but this is just to put in perspective with people like us, where daily or weekly is A LOT when most of us never known a single one
@peterdrake @stux
If I can rassure you, we are not immunized from all of that, but concerning violence, if someone want to engage a mass murder, he will have to planning it patiently and it will be very complicated
This reason alone exclude many act to be committed I think
@peterdrake @stux why the jump in school shootings recently?
116 in 2020
to 256 in 2021
to 308 in 2022
to 348 in 2023.
other big jump was 2017. can this be tied to something?
