Offhand, I wonder what percentage of Russians are ready to give Putin the sendoff Romania gave Ceaușescu and Libya did Gaddafi.
@pieist Ceausescu didn't fall until the Soviet Union was no longer there to prop him up. Gaddafi only fell due to the US and Europe backing the rebels militarily. He was on the verge of crushing the rebellion.
One difference is that people couldn't easily leave Romania or Libya, so they had to act instead.
