I will be glad when the whole AI thing collapses, as long as it doesn't cost me my job. (No, I don't work on AI: the program I work on, pytorch, is a very general system for fast calculations on huge amounts of numerical data, but a large number of its uses are some form of AI.)

@pieist @bruces It's funny - I read Dune in the 70s, and then the term Butlerian Jihad didn't re-enter my consciousness until two years ago, and now it comes up all the time.
The really funny part is that I hated the idea originally, but now I understand completely.
