@notjustbikes Doesn't this picture have it all? Public trasit, US & EU cars and the point!

@stux @notjustbikes How are those cars even allowed? Is this in Belgium or Netherlands?

@loke @notjustbikes I have no clue!

This seems like amsterdam, but it could be any other larger city

parkeren op zijn Rotterdams... I lived in R'dam for 9 years, car drivers there are a bit crazy, compared to other parts of Randstad...

it's of course not allowed, surely police should be there any minute. And the owner might have to pay a fine proportional to their income (at least for certain kinds of "hightway code" breaking). In R'dam the fine for illegal parking is €150, I gather.
Few more such violations and the car might get confiscated, as presenting danger to the public.

Some cities have experimented with giving transport drivers the ability to issue citations, but the possibility of an encounter with an aggressive owner means you pretty much have to leave that to trained law enforcement.

@pieist @dimpase @cessie @stux @loke @notjustbikes To handle parking like that, the guy operating the tram does not have to issue citations. A battering ram on the front of the tram would suffice. 😉
