Passion for programming is awesome but a multi-page rant from someone who claims to be very young about a “smear campaign” against Perl earns a mute. My friend in pixels, the true path to doing meaningful work is to stop worrying that people do not like the programming languages you like.

@grmpyprogrammer Even if your favourite language is deemed obsolete, if it was popular enough in its time, you should be able to eek out a warm enough position as a legacy app support guy.
And come on, it's just Perl ;)
