Autopoiesis is not bringing about anything, really. It is just a state, or a characteristic of a system. The system brings about its own learning, growth etc. Autopoiesis is merely a "condition" of the system. LIKE growing and LIKE learning.

I see it more as a of self- and maintenance rather than a or of a system:
