I don't know if The Three Body Problem is Chinese propaganda or not, but the Three-Body series by Tencent definitely is. Also it's a great show.

@braindouche There's clearly *some* pro-Chinese "propaganda" in the book series. After all, Liu Cixin had to include a three-quarter-page footnote in the English translation of one of the books to explain that when he said that the Chinese group learned faster because of the density of their pictographic language, he was referring to an imaginary future pictographic language, not the current system of Kanji which communicates information at the same average density as western languages. He had gotten a *lot* of pushback. That footnote sent me down a rabbit hole that was fascinating!

Anyway, I don't think the books are any more propaganda than any western equivalent, and for the same reasons: we don't realize we're reflecting our pro-western bias any more than I think he did.

The shows, though, TenCent sure knows which side of the bao holds the filling! 😀
