@magnus919 @theprint I would say 1U servers is a no go for a homelab, their density is designed for very climate controlled environments. 2U servers generally allow for larger fans that can run at a lower speed to help keep the noise down. I will agree you need to watch the power consumption but if you're going to build a #homelab power is just a trade off for your hobby.

The biggest plus for Ent. servers is ECC ram, important for running VM's or containers.
