@quasifrodo @magnus919 @theprint i loved having my 2u supermicro in my living room.. for a week. the power supply fans drove me batty. and it probably doubled my electricity bill.
i think enterprise stuff is cool, but it can be a pain in terms of space, noise, and power (depending on what enterprise stuff you get).
id really like to get something like the ASRock DeskMeet
compact, but has room for multi-gig networking expansion, also it can hold some combination of 3.25" and 2.5" drives.
